Wheelchair Access

Each auditorium has accessible areas for wheelchairs at strategic locations. These dedicated spots offer adjacent companion seating.

Accessibility Devices

Accessibility Devices

All South Shore Cinemas locations are equipped with closed captioning, descriptive narration and assistive listening devices. These devices are intended to make the experience enjoyable and accessible for our deaf, hard of hearing, blind and visually impaired moviegoers. The devices are available for films that are encoded with captions or descriptions. We will provide these devices upon request from the theater box office for no charge. You will be requested to leave an ID to ensure return of the device after the movie.

Closed Captioning Device (CC)

These devices offer personal monitors with digital text displays that easily attach to cup holder armrests and allow the user to adjust the monitor to their preferred position. The devices are completely wireless and simple to use.  Please inquire at the theatre box office to see if your movie is available with Closed Captioning.

Audio Description Headset (AD)

Moviegoers who are visually impaired can receive additional audio narration with their personal audio description headset. The headsets provide the user with additional description of the visual setting and a description of what is taking place on the screen.  The devices are wireless and simple to use.  Please inquire at the theatre box office to see if your movie is available with Audio Description.

Assisted Listening Device (ALD)

Patrons who are partially hearing impaired can adjust the movie soundtrack volume through their personal ALD. The devices are wireless headsets that receive an infrared signal that allow the user to customize the volume to their liking.
